Today on the show Brian Mannix (Uncanny Xmen), Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen) and Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera) dropped by for a very special Gimmy Jimmy. All of them are currently performing in a show called ‘Absolutely 80s’. This is a two hour jam-packed touring show that features all of their biggest hits! The show was born from the sold-out Countdown Spectacular of 2006.

Earlier in the week, celebrity chef Bill Granger dropped by for a chat. We are fairly hopeless cooks- so we took it upon ourselves to get some advice from Bill for an easy, quick dinner recipe. The kind of meal you can throw together last minute! Here it is:
Baked risotto:
1. Add the following into a baking dish:
a. Some fried onion
b. Arborio rice (Arborio is creamier than standard rice and doesn’t dissolve as much).
c. Tin of tomatoes
d. Stock
e. Zucchini and/or beans
f. If you like it, a tin of tuna.
2. Put a lid on the dish and throw it in the oven to bake for 30 mins at 180 degrees... Bill recommends a glass of wine while you wait.
Now that’s what we call E.A.SY.

Last night we hit the TV Week Logies red carpet to chat to the stars of TVs ‘night of nights’.
Luckily we had a cameraman to capture all of the action so we could show it to you... check it out for yourself:
We just got sent this video of a ‘flashmob’ in London. A ‘flashmob’ is where random people join together in public to do various stunts. This video in particular shows 13,500 people in Trafalgar Square all singing along to a rendition of Hey Jude. The video features a surprise appearance from pop star Pink. Check it out for yourself:
One of our old mates, Craig McLachlan, dropped by the show today for a catch up chat. Craig is currently starring in ‘Chicago: The Musical’ (alongside Gina Riley from Kath & Kim). Chicago has just been on in Brisbane, and is about to tour to Sydney, so don’t miss out on your chance to see Craig in action. Head to chicagothemusical.com.au for more info on tickets and dates etc.
Here’s a pic of us with Craig:

Today we had a special visit from a cute dog called Myron who lost his eyes at birth (due to a virus).
Myron usually likes to get his photo taken with celebrities, but this time he just ran into us. Here's a pic:
Below is a video of an incredible piece of sound engineering. It is a composite audio/video of a song whereby additional tracks have been laid by different singers and musicians from different places around the world. The song itself is that classic standard “Stand By Me” originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters.
It’s already had over 10 millions hits, so turn up the volume and enjoy:
I had a friend send me this video this morning and its classic. I can't believe she signed herself up to do this.
See it for yourself:
Check out the video below that has become a YouTube sensation (with close 93 million views!!!) It is one of those moments where they were lucky to have the camera rolling. Priceless. Enjoy.

This year, Mission Australia celebrates its 150th year working with disadvantaged Australians and Jono's on a mission to help raise some much needed funds. Mission Australia is a non-denominational Christian community services organisation, working tirelessly every day to try and eliminate homelessness; assist families and children to develop a solid foundation for the future; support disadvantaged young people; and help unemployed people find permanent work. Just last year they helped more than 330,000 Australians.
Mission Australia wants everyday Aussies to experience what it’s like to be voiceless, by not speaking for an hour (or more) TODAY and to seek sponsorship for your silence. The intitiative is called HUSH and there is still more hours left in the day, which means there's still time for you to give it a crack. Jono has signed up, follow this link www.everydayhero.com.au/jonathan_coleman to find out more and how you can become a sponsor of the great man. Whilst your there, you can also sign yourself up! Cheers, Dano.
I love this! Can't understand the commentary, but you don't need to - but maybe they should have made the theme music "The Pushbike Song". I wonder if Banjo could one day ride a bike? Jono
On today’s show we spoke with actor and motorbike enthusiast, Charley Boorman. Charley is known for his appearance in Long Way Round and Long Way Down with his best friend Ewan McGregor. Charley is back in Australia to begin a new motorbike expedition all the way to Japan, click here for more info.
It seems that performing dogs are this week's joke du jour. I love this one - a clip of a dog called Baillie performing his 'play dead' trick on the David Letterman Show in the U.S. It's very funny... looks like I've got to teach Banjo some new tricks. Banjo? Banjo?
Today on the show we caught up with Reg Presley from The Troggs (Wild Thing, Love is all Around). Reg is a fantastic storyteller, so if you missed the interview here it is for your listening pleasure. Enjoy it- we sure did.

We have a competition that we play everyday on the show called '3 Degrees of Separation'. This is where we play 3 snippets of different songs and you have to guess the common link. For instance Melissa sent us in a great one- we played a Missisippi, Zoot and Little River Band track and the answer was that Beeb Birtles was in all of the bands.
If you have any suggestions for a 3 Degrees, shoot us through an email using the link to the RIGHT.
Thanks for your help! Jono & Dano
Get a load of this - this is actual footage of a flight attendant in the U.S. bringing a bit of fun into the workplace... and we have to admit he's pretty good:
What do you do to create fun in your workplace? Email the show using the link to the right and let us know.
Today we caught up with one of our comedy heroes Will Ferrell. Will has starred in so many of our favourite movies (Anchorman, Old School, Zoolander, Talledega Nights and so on...) He is currently in Australia for the premiere of his latest film 'Land of the Lost' which is out on the 11th of June.

Without our knowledge it appears as though our Will Ferrell interview has taken the world by storm! Here’s some snippets of the press that we've been getting overseas…

Coming up on today’s show, we’ll be speaking with Kim McCosker and Rachael Bermingham - they’re the mastermind mums behind the cooking concept 4 Ingredients. Their cookbooks and TV shows are jam- packed full of quick, easy and very delicious recipes that can ALL be made with only 4 or fewer ingredients. It’s a genius idea!

In a blender, crush cookies. Then add cream cheese blending until there are no traces of cream cheese. Remove mixture and roll into small balls, place on a plate and refrigerate for 45 minutes. Lamb Cutlets ‘Kilpatrick’
The ingredients: Bacon, Lamb cutlets and BBQ sauce
Chop up your bacon rashes and lightly fry them, then grill your cutlets lightly on both sides. Mix the bacon bits with some BBQ sauce and put some of the mixture onto one side of your cutlets- then lightly grill... It is just too easy!
