DO IT FOR AC/DC PROMOTION - THE JONO & DANO SHOW
Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the draw is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
2. Entry is open to NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, WA and NT residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees of mcm syndication and their immediate families, associated agencies of mcm syndication and companies associated with the promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion. Entrants must hold a valid passport with more than 6 months validity and be prepared to travel to the United States of America on Thursday 19th November 2009.
3. The competition commences on Wednesday 4th November 2009 at 4:00 PM (AEST) and all entries must be received before Friday 13th November at 3:00PM (AEST).
4. To enter, participants must email Jono & Dano via the ‘Contact Us’ link on www.jonoandano.com.au and state in 100 words or less what their all-time favourite AC/DC song lyrics are and why? Entrants will be required to submit a minimum of 4 lines and a maximum of 8 lines from an AC/DC song.
5. Responses will be read and judged daily by a judging panel at mcm entertainment, Level 1, Building 210, The Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, NSW 2021 at 3.00pm on Monday 9th November, Tuesday 10th November, Wednesday 11th November, Thursday 12th November & Friday 13th November. The winners will be notified by phone. Winners will be determined on their creativity.
The six most creative entries each day from Monday 9th November to Friday 13th November 2009 will be selected to participate in the ‘Do It For AC/DC’ contest, in which the participant will be required to sing the lyrics to the AC/DC song of their choice (30 x participants in total). On Friday 13th November, the show’s hosts (Jono & Dano) will select the best participant as the major prize winner based on the participant whom they deem as the person who ‘did it for AC/DC‘ (sang) the best. The major prize winner will be notified by phone on Friday 13th November 2009 and the winner announced in the show Monday 16th November 2009.
6. All on-air trivia participants (30 x total) will receive a copy of AC/DCs ‘Backtracks’ CD/DVD standard edition valued at $29.95 and a copy of AC/DCs ‘Black Ice’ album on CD valued at $29.95. Each minor prize is valued at $59.90. The total minor prize pool is valued at $1,797.00.
The major prize winner will be awarded 2 x economy flights from their nearest capital city to Miami - San Juan, airport/hotel transfers, 4 x nights hotel accommodation ( 2 x nights in Miami, 2 x nights in Puerto Rico) a meet and greet with the members of AC/DC in Miami, transfers from the hotel to the meet and greet, 2 x General Admission tickets to the AC/DC show in Puerto Rico at the Coliseo De Puerto Rico on Saturday 21st November 2009 , as well as basic travel insurance for 2 x people. The winner may also be required to present AC/DC with an award, such presentation which will be filmed for television.
In the event that a component (outside the control of the Promoter) is cancelled (i.e. the AC/DC meet and greet and/or the concert), no replacement activity will be offered.
The major prize is valued at a maximum of $10,000.00.
The maximum value of the total prize pool is $11,797.00.
7. The travel must be taken on Thursday 19th November 2009. If the major prize winner and travelling companion are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then the prize will be forfeited by the winner. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the major prize or any element thereof.
8. The major prize winner (and their travelling companion) are responsible for all other expenses including additional spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Additional travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
9. The major prize winner and their travelling companion must travel at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or Alice Springs).
10. Government taxes are an additional cost to the winners and their travelling companions and are required prior to ticketing.
11. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
12. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are non-changeable.
13. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable.
14. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If the prizes are unavailable for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of similar value.
15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
16. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.
17. The major prize winner must, at the request of the Promoter participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography, filming and presentation of any awards to AC/DC during the meet and greet) surrounding the winning of the major prize, free of charge, and he/she consents to the Promoter using his/her name and image in promotional material.
18. mcm media and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit. Once prizes have left Promoter's premises, the Promoter will not be responsible for any delay in delivery, or failure of safe delivery of prizes.
19. The promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit their prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
20. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made without prior consent. Entrant’s personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation.
21. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction given under the Lottery and Gaming Regulation 1993 (SA), and state permit regulation.
22. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
